CinemaBlend:
Danny Strong, the actor-turned-writer who's both a fan favorite from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and a multiple Emmy winner for the HBO movie Game Change, has just set up what has to be his biggest gig yet.
Variety reports that he's just signed on to direct the two-part The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, the conclusion to the film series that's already a worldwide phenomenon.
Lovers Anonymous Review: This series reminds us that every concept—even one as extraordinary as this—requires a great story to really connect.
TNS: "Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare takes its Twisted Childhood concept extremely seriously, for better and for worse."
TNS: Ke Huy Quan returned to the spotlight in Everything Everywhere All at Once, but he takes his first starring role in Love Hurts this year.
This is like so strange. I still think of him as little whimpy Jonathan on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I would have never thought of him as a screenwriter for something this big.
I could have sworn they already had a writer for this. Oh well, as long as it's a good script I don't really care. I still can't say I'm all for the splitting it into 2 parts though. To be honest, Mockingjay was the weakest of the three books, and I don't see it getting any better in a two-part film.
Ugh why do they do this to me! I'm so addicted now, reading the books and everything, and then they go and pull a "this is a two part movie!" on me! I hate that, but can't resist seeing this one lol
