THR Live Feed:
A day into the broadcast networks' Premiere Week, the NBCUniversal-owned cable network pulled the trigger on bringing back three staples of its summer lineup.
Royal Pains will return for two additional runs of 13 episodes each, getting a 26-episode order for seasons five and six. The move comes as the cabler is prepping a two-hour Royal Pains TV movie, Off-Season Greetings, revolving around the upcoming nuptials between Evan (Paulo Costanzo) and Paige (Brooke D'Orsay) slated to air Dec. 16.
White Collar and Covert Affairs, meanwhile, will return for their respective fifth and fourth seasons, consisting of 15 episodes each.
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
I'm really happy about all this because I do watch these, Covert Affairs being my fav of the three but I hope they bring back a new one called Common Law. That one was good too and we really enjoyed watching it this last year so I'm hoping a few others did too so they will renew it.
