Box Office Briefing: America Forgets Movie Theaters Exist; Incites The Worst Box Office in Years

Geek Binge: Typically, the first box office weekend of September post Labor Day is…well, horrible. Once that week lands, you KNOW the Summer Movie Season is over. And well Hollywood continues to push the start of the season forward into April (and, under some extreme cases, March), the end of Summer always stays the same. And for good reason, as this weekend proves that, once August is done, the box office really takes a slump. And in this year’s case, the slump is extreme.
