IGN - Earlier today, I had the opportunity to speak with God of War writers Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton about their highly anticipated game-to-feature adaptation. Coming from a background in horror films such as Saw IV, the Feast trilogy and Piranha 3DD, Patrick and Melton only just recently took their first steps into the action genre after polishing the script for Guillermo Del Toro's Pacific Rim. Since then, they've been hired to rewrite the long-gestating God of War movie, which was originally penned by David Self (Road to Perdition, Thirteen Days).
all i could say is that i hope they dont mess this one up, god of war was one of the best games i played and i dont want it to be the next failed video game to movie adaptation.
"...Coming from a background in horror films such as Saw IV, the Feast trilogy and Piranha 3DD..."
This is doomed to be shit
Fuck why the Saw/Piranha faggots?
Nolan or GTFO
GoW isn't really Nolan's type of movies..
Anyways, the Feast trilogies were really pretty damn good and entertaining. But Saw and Piranha .. That's horrible.
But they say that they polished a script for Del Toro so that's an amazing news. Seeing that Del Toro trusts them, that means he sees something in them. Let's just hope for the best.
But, i read somewhere that the story will focus on Kratos when he was a man with a wife and kids. It sounded boring as hell.
