The Blu-ray Breakdown: August 28, 2012

This week a lot of new product is released on Blu-ray, but unfortunately there’s not a lot of substance associated with it. On the new release front we see the release of the second disappointing Taylor Kitsch film of 2012, another dramatic flop from Zac Efron, the newest film from creative minds behind Wallace & Gromit, and Steve Harvey’s newest adaptation. There are many TV releases this week as well including the second seasons of cable’s hottest zombie show, HBO’s prohibition hit, FX’s motorcycle crime drama, Showtime’s mysterious terrorism thriller, and ABC’s fairy tale hit. For those more interested in catalog releases Universal is releasing more films associated with their 100th Anniversary collection plus a couple more classics find their way onto HD.
