A Less Violent Starship Troopers?

Empire Online

Paul Verhoeven's '80s sci-fis tiptoed between kitsch and corrosive with such brass that people are still debating which bits are meant as satire and which bits aren't. Whats the point in remaking a movie that was(and still is) so much fun to watch if you're only going to castrate the original vision in the name of the final rating? Lets be honest that's the only real reason they'd make the movie like that.

Starship Troopers was one of the best studies/parody's of modern fascism and now it will become mediocre blockbuster trash.

Bubs up sir. . That was very well said. I suspect all of that is going to be axed from the movie and you're right it will just end up as "mediocre Blockbuster trash" as opposed to a movie with a tongue in cheek message.

Thank-you! I rest my case.

The blood and cheese was exactly what made that movie so fun. Remaking it without is like remaking American Pie without the skin and apple pie!! That's more ammo for ya Crazay.

So true dude. Part of the charm was the cheese factor. Just unacceptable if you ask me.

Movie is near perfect, no remake necessary...

Ruining it before it even gets started.
