Zap2It:
It's a pretty gutsy move to kick off your new series by killing off one of the pilot's main characters, but "Bunheads" totally went there. The ABC Family dance dramedy spent Episode 2 dealing with Hubbell's death (and making us cry in the process).
While the beginning of the episode was a little too talky (very Amy Sherman-Palladino), it hit that sweet spot between emotional and funny as Fanny (Kelly Bishop) and Michelle (Sutton Foster) figured out how, exactly, their grieving processes worked.
The best point, though, came at the end, when the high school ballerinas performed a beautiful dance in honor of their teacher's late son (and the new cool adult in town's new husband). Raise your hand if you shed a tear.
Dinner with the Parents Review: It's a family comedy series following the Langers, who often turn their family dinners into a disruptively chaotic affair.
Bros Review: The series, as the title suggests, is about two adult men who want to behave like children and we are not here for that.
Going Home With Tyler Cameron Review: This is a simple, no-nonsense but cliched watch, with Cameron's boyish charms taking centre stage.
I accidentally clicked on this premiere last week and saw the first episode and actually liked it. I thought of those of you that may be having Gilmore Girls withdrawls still could start watching this because even though it's far from being the same...the humor mixed with some human emotion from time to time can be a lot of fun.
