The 10 Best Sci-fi/Horror Movies

Science fiction is horror’s cousin. While sci-fi is not above dealing with nail-biting suspense, as evident by The Terminator, or doing graphic violence like in Robocop, but it is not horror just because of a few similarities. Horror and Sci-Fi do directly cross paths sometimes though, and out of that union comes the subgenre of sci-fi/ horror. These films often deal with terror in scientific trappings. With the release of Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, the prequel to Scott’s own Alien, we felt like it is the perfect time to take a look at the 10 very best of sci-fi/ horror.

Good list!!! I would take the Fly off and add Saturn 3 Also I would replace VoTD with Vampire Hunter D.

I loved The Blob but the very first one made in the 60's with Steve McQueen. The list is good but I would also rate the Alien movie as some of the scarier ones that kept me on the edge of my seat. Also...it wasn't a monster movie, the first time I saw Poltergiest, that movie scared the crap out of me.
