yeah i was sort of disappointed with the smallville ending regarding darkseid, great 2 hour episode regardless, they could of at least threw in his complete form even if for about a minute or so instead of being a inhabited vessal

the thing with avengers and why it worked is coz the tones of all the movies were more or less on par with each other.

whereas with DC comics, looking at the way they made batman have a darker tone, more grittier feel to it, putting superman in that kind of tone wouldn't seem to fit as well. so when making a JL movie, will it be a lighter tone where superman looks right but batman awkward or a dark tone where batman is right and superman is awkward.

although thinking of it, they should really go grittier. it has more potential for the villians thus the heroes have more room to do damage.

as for introducing the characters, they could easily do it in the start of the movie, comic book style while the starting credits are rolling. basically just explain how they came into being a superhero. let the movie play out the way their character acts. arrogance, class, smoothness, ladies man, saviour, comedian etc.
