Everyone should know by now that Paramount Studios made the shocking announcement of delaying G.I. Joe: Retaliation until March 2013 to covert it into 3D. Many people were appalled by this decision, although there are some factors that this could be a good thing for Paramount Studios.

I'm tired of the first reason to be honest. I mean they saw it coming, and running away scared to me as a customer is like saying "well our movie isn't as good as theirs at all." Great way to sell me that movie....Plus they are cutting their sales short anyways since movies don't sell that great early in the year (March), ask John Carter.....
The WWE thing could be good, but you have to remember....since The Rock went Hollywood, a lot of "hardcore WWE fans" hate him.....
Overall just talking about it frustrates me. None of these excuses are worth the delay. Okay you promote it with WWE, but didn't they just promote it to hell with the friggin Superbowl? Giant banners and posters all over theaters, tons of commercials, and trailer spots during big movies? People were already excited for it and going to see it, and they ruined it and have to start all over just to add in a few lame 3D scenes supposedly.
Ugh. Why does it have to be 3D at all!? I hate it when things are filmed like that because even the camera shots are predictable. The hero finds something new? Toss it at the camera. Somebody's shooting? Throw it at the camera...
And since I don't care for 3D this does nothing but annoy me. You can appreciate 3D without it all sailing directly at you anyway. Avatar did fairly well with it's filming because they didn't let 3D rule the angles.
I expect them to delay 'G.I. Joe 2' again, March 2013 is already loaded/crowded with (well the studios' hope so) big movies.

Why do they try to fix what isn't broken? They should've shot in 3D in the first place.
I can sort of understand if they haven't finished filming, but that isn't the case. It just went from being a possible summer blockbuster to a vague pink & green afterthought.(feb&mar)
