For all of its sex and scandal, Bel Ami lacks the passion needed to make its story of lust and power a memorable one.
Possesses a certain seductive charm in part because of the elegant set and costume designs, but mostly because of the performances; Pattinson’s take on a mannered scoundrel is intriguingly nuanced.

Glad to see Pattinson really branching out from Twilight stuff. Maybe he won't get stuck in a rut because of the role. I will say though, that I doubt he'd be able to seduce Ricci and Uma Thurman.
He probably woulnd't want to seduce either of them. Uma is a mutt and Ricci's only asset is her chest.
Robert Pattinson has trades in the fangs and the sparkles in this attempt to appeal to an older audience. Unfortunately Bal Ami fails to deliver on it's promise of being a "Dangerous Liaisons for a new generation".
