Hysteria (2012) - Popzara Review

A bright, funny, hopelessly endearing film that benefits greatly from the sheer likeability of its actors; an exuberantly charming comedy, but also a surprisingly compelling depiction of a world in transition.

FilmFracture Review: Hysteria

Kathryn Schroeder of FilmFracture writes:

"Tanya Wexler's Hysteria makes its point as a lighthearted comedy about the invention of the vibrator once a woman breaks out into an aria from “La Traviata" after receiving hands-on stimulation from her doctor. Hysteria is not the average romantic comedy, nor is it a biographical account of how the vibrator was invented in London, circa 1880."

I have the feeling it's going to be another intense Summer of movie watching. Several films I'm looking forward to seeing this year. Some of them I can't even explain why I want to see them (like Battleship), but I'm going to regardless.

I'm don't care if I see Battleship but I'm really wanting to see Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. I saw the best previews at the movies and everytime I do I just tell myself...I have to see that movie...don't know why.

This looks like it might be a fun movie. At first I thought it was going to be one of those boring period pieces but the trailer tells me otherwise.
