One day I’ll figure out why studios persist on overloading one week with so many big releases that most people can’t afford to pick up every movie that they might want and then in other weeks barely release anything. Perhaps there’s a method to their madness that I’m just not aware of. This week only has three major new releases; one of 2012’s most bizarre films featuring an all-star cast in multiple roles, the return to a deadly massacre in the heart of Texas and another season of America’s favorite blood spatter pattern analyst/serial killer. Catalog releases mostly include a large assortment of Sony releases all remastered for 4K displays… not exactly something that will appeal to the masses.
i dont think ill get the 2013 texas chainsaw massacre movie. i already have a 2003 version and that was way more superior than this one.
Comedy is a fairly tricky genre to contend with nowadays, especially with so many well-exploited sub-genres like college sex comedy or romantic comedy. Making a truly unique one is no simple task, which is why The Other Guys feels so refreshing before the question of "well how funny is it though?" even hits the table.

Rentrak has announced last week’s biggest selling and most rented movies on DVD and Blu-ray. This includes data from the week ending December 26, 2010. For the second week in a row, the animated feature Despicable Me, starring Steve Carell, remains in the number one spot. While Twilight’s Eclipse holds down the second spot again this week. The only newcomer to break the top five was the Angelina Jolie vehicale Salt which came in third. Meanwhile, Toy Story 3 still continues to do ridiculously well. Not only remaining in the top ten for the 8th week in a row. But this week it managed to climb three spots as well. Climbing from number 7 last week, all the way up to number 4 this past week.

This movie was absolutely glorious! I still laugh at it to this day, the chemistry between the two of them is just awesome!
