Miroslav Ondříček Passed Away At 80

Gambitcon - At the age of 80, a world-renowned legendary Czech Director of Photography passed away last night. He was one of the best filmmakers, who never recceived an Oscar for their work. The man was a frequent collaborator of Miloš Forman with whom he created couple of masterpieces, Amadeus being one of them. Essential was his contribution to The New wave of filmmakers in Czech Republic (back then still Czechoslovakia), where he helped with his unique take on the world to shoot the biting satires such as The Firemen's Ball.
