Marvel Civil War: 10 Incredibly Important Scenes We’ll Never See On Film

WC: With the recent news that the Marvel Cinematic universe is gearing up for an onscreen adaptation of their polarizing, yet hugely successful “CIvil War” storyline, discussion is rampant about what steps Marvel will take to ensure the concept translates well to film.

". It wasn’t just that the legislation itself put the heroes and their families in danger; it was the fact that Tony Stark was coming off like a colossal a-hole. "

I think it was the sloppy writting in my opinion for Tony, the character development for him in the Civil War storyline wasn't that good.

Hopefully in the film version they'll make it so it really relates to the "Who's side are you on" tag line. Both sides need to come off like they are in the right, they need to have it so Stark has some good reasons behind supporting the bill.

In the comics, Stark works closely with SHIELD and trusted them. Plus he was already known to be Iron Man and utilized that as ammo.

All I'm saying is that I don't think it was the writing behind Iron Man that was bad, it was the overall situation. Having all this explode so quickly just because a few young heroes set off a bomb wasn't impactful enough.

I think with the twist of the NSA, and (slight spoiler) Iron Man being the cause of Ultron, will be enough of a twist to allow Iron Man to be an pain about things.

It'll be an interesting tale on the Civil War comic. In the comics Iron Man is with shield with the registration act but Cap isn't.

The movies has already established that Tony Stark doesn't trust Shield and after the events in Cap 3 I doubt Steve will trust Shield too.

More than likely it will probably stem from the Ultron events in Avengers 2 that maybe Iron Man will champion the registration act as Soldierone said.

Ummmm Cap didn't trust Shield at the beginning of Winter solider, and it only got worse when they found out Hydra had infiltrated Shield....So they wouldn't have to wait for Captain America 3 for him not to trust Shield

Which is why I think the Civil War idea will not sit well with the general audience. The reasons why comic books movies have worked so well in the past is there is a definite bad guy and good guy (protagonist and antagonist). In fact all movies have this in some form.

I think marvel is planning a second civil war saga soon on comics, and use that one for the movies, I read somewhere that marvel's in talks to sony about spiderman.

They would NEED to bring spidey into this somehow. His story was one of the many greats in the civil War story...I still cringe when I think of what Tony convinced him to do...

No it wasn't Spider-Man's story was one of the worst parts of The Civil War, with the whole Stark being like a father to him...And it led to one of the worst Spider-Man stories of all time that they are still trying to get rid of the whole One More Day/Brand New Day garbage trash...That whole Aunt May thing was stupid not just the Mephisto crap

"Therein lies the problem with expecting that same sentiment in a movie adaptation. Robert Downey, Jr. is by far the most likable and charismatic of all the Avengers cast."

Opinion. Sure I love him in the films and Downy is the absolute perfect actor for Stark but my heart belongs to Rogers and Thor.
