What? No... you? Kidding me? ... f*** me... damn... like... is this a rumor? joke or just an April Fools?...

Cant process it... at all..

darklordzor3538d ago

Agreed, I can't process this. I keep reading the report (and yeah, it's official) and I can't seem to accept it. He did so many amazing things in both the real world and in films.

TheHergulaX3538d ago

Man... exactly... that's the thing. Even though many newer film fanatics don't know much about him. But he is easily one of the greatest actors of all time. He has been in multiple classical films and was always a great guy. Never ever heard bad things about him... so humble... an what's tragic is also that he was a comedian. He worked to make us laugh... and he was depressed?... killed himself... whaaa... cannot yeah... I just don't even know what to write... struggling to really put words together even.

Yi-Long3538d ago

This is extremely sad news. I know he's gotten quite a bit of flack for maybe not being a great actor, or not being funny....

... but I've always disagreed with that. He was hilarious, and tremendously gifted as an actor, in the right kind of roles. I'll really miss the guy.

Was just watching him this afternoon in The Crazy Ones, which has such a nice talented cast, plus later tonight there was the Family Guy episode where Peter turned everybody into Robin Williams.

We could use Peter Griffin right now. :'(

Sad sad sad... R.I.P. Robin...

Blasphemy3538d ago

I wander can the human being be happy? I see all these movie stars who seem to have it all kill themselves and ask myself this question. They have the money, fame and a family and are still not happy, what gives?

Yi-Long3538d ago

I don't really think 'depression' can be 'understood' by someone who has never experienced it. We could try to explain, but TBH, even for someone who IS depressed, it is sometimes hard to understand.

It's always there though, so if you've got it, I don't think it will ever go away anymore. It's just floating beneath the surface, and occasionally it pops up and just drags you down.

TheHergulaX3536d ago

I understand where you are coming from, but from my past depression experience, it is just a feeling of overwhelming sadness that you cannot shake away. There can be multiple reasons behind it, even the samllest thing can make a person fall into a deep depression.

Honestly though, I'm not sure why Robin Williams was as depressed as he was, killing himself, yet I don't want to judge a person who has taken their own life. He had his reasons and obviously struggles with it for quite a long time, as well as sobriety.

BUT, I do agree with your statement about having money, fame and everything. Even I cannot truly understand where the misery comes out of, yet the mind itself can cause issues out of nowhere...

Blasphemy3536d ago

I deal with depression to so I also know what it is like. The way I try to deal with it is by saying to myself that maybe if I had this or that that I wouldn't be so unhappy. So that is why I am still holding on atm. Maybe things will change for me maybe not I don't really know but I do hope that one day that I will be the happy person that I want to be.

04roacht3538d ago

this is such sad news. Some people thought it was a hoax at first.

dota2champion3538d ago (Edited 3538d ago )

The internet is exploding because of his death. The Wikipedia page of Robin Williams even crashed.

I never seen any of his movies he was in. Can anyone recommend me some?

darklordzor3538d ago

Aladdin, Hook, What Dreams May Come, Dead Poets, Good Morning Vietnam, Ms. Doubtfire, One Hour Photo...It's a long list.

dota2champion3538d ago

The Disney movie Aladdin? oh, I've seen that, i didn't knew he did the voice of Aladdin

darklordzor3538d ago

He's the voice of the Genie in the film. Also there's:

Jumanji
Patch Adams

Porcelain_Chicken3538d ago (Edited 3538d ago )

I remember watching Ms.Doubtfire alot as a kid. We were kinda broke so we didn't own alot of movies. When i heard a second was in the planning stage even now at 23 it made me excited.

Real sad to see the guy go. Especially after leaving such an imprint on my childhood. I didn't know he was so troubled either. :( He seemed like a genuinely happy guy, at least in his movies.

Rest in peace Mr. Williams.

mydyingparadiselost3538d ago (Edited 3538d ago )

He's also done some great stand up, I don't remember the names of them but he had talent on a stage. There's one where he's obviously coked up and wearing hammer pants.... It's good stuff :D
Also I think he was part of the Comic Relief thing from the 80's with Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal.

pandehz3538d ago

Bicentennial Man really brought something new to film.

His entire existence in film bought many new elements to film.

Difficult to hear about his death today.

Good Morning, Vietnam

Good Will Hunting

Dead Poets Society

The Fisher King

TheHergulaX3538d ago

You might not know much about him, but let me tell you, he is one of the greatest actors of all time. He was truly a good guy, he was in the class of actors who could balance comedic films and dramas. Oscar-winning actor who can easily write his name next to stars like De Niro, Nicholson and many others. He has been in a number of classical films that will never be forgotten.

Please watch some of his films, you will see how tragic it is to lose an actor whose sole reason for doing films was to put a smile on people's face... his films prove that.

Soldierone3538d ago (Edited 3538d ago )

If I'm not mistaken, they listed out all his films and he was in over 120 of them and 4 TV shows with countless appearances elsewhere.

(Also he has 4 films coming out, 2 or 3 are in post production)

iamnsuperman3538d ago

Watch world's greatest dad. It is a must

Lord_Sloth3538d ago

I'm probably alone in this but I really liked Insomnia where he plays a killer.

Fadetoblack693538d ago

You're not alone. It was odd seeing him take on bad guy roles but he did an amazing job at that as well. I never would have pictured it but I was impressed.
