CBM: With only "alright" reviews as of right now (and the RT score likely to drop upon US release), how strong with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hold out against the onslaught of new summer blockbusters coming out after it? This will be a tough call. It's now "cool" to hate Spider-Man simply because Sony has it. So no matter what people will downplay it simply because Marvel doesn't own the license.
That being said, those "haters" are full of crap and will go see it anyways lol
There is one BIG problem though, Godzilla. That movie will either be amazing, or suck epicly. If it's amazing, it will steal almost ALL of Spider-Mans thunder. Spider-Man will be out for two or three weeks at that point so it will have most of its bank, but it won't be breaking any Sony records if Godzilla takes over so soon.
