'Terminator Genisys' Sequels Are Reportedly On Hold Indefinitely

IndieWire: The reviews were dreadful and domestic audiences didn't show up, but China provided a sliver of hope for those who still cared that there was might be some followups for "Terminator: Genisys." The sequel and potential franchise reboot notched the fourth biggest debut ever for a U.S. movie in China, and international audiences overall have made 'Genisys' the second highest grossing movie in the series. So that could have been enough for Paramount, which had big plans for the property, including a new trilogy and a TV series. But apparently that's not to be.

The good news keeps rollin in today. It was a terrible "reboot".

Good. Genisys was horrible

It rebooted the timeline and overwrote the good films

It told us a shitty story

The actors, apart from Arnie were terribly miscast

Somehow despite it's big budget the other films still manage to hold up

In my opinion, do a direct sequel to Judgement Day with Linda Hamilton where they are living their lifes in peace but Skynet tries to send another Terminator to start Judgement Day again. Either that or somehow the Government manage to create their own Terminator which goes Rouge and starts to upgrade it's self to bring Judgement Day

We just need Cameron back. That is the only solution to all of this mess.

Cameron has a plethora of Avatar sequels in the works that will seemingly take about 9 more years of his life. When would he even have time to make another Terminator between all of that!? Maybe it ain't such a bad thing. People need time to forget Genisys. I wouldn't expect a new Terminator for a while. Even with Cameron.

Yes, because Avatar really made you want more from him?

Looks like no more films until its back in Cameron's hands, great news.

Cameron will never do another Terminator film, sorry to break it to you.

Genesis, much like the other non-Cameron films, did totally miss the boat. They try to throw everything but the kitchen sink into the movie, leaving no terminator reference unturned. It was a bloated and messy movie.

The one thing that is always overlooked in these films is the suspense factor. The Terminator is supposed to be horrifying!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (turns super sayain) seriously though I love it enough to kick rise of the machine and salvation out of my mind in terms of canonverse.

I just dont want to wait for thousands of years again lol
