Attack On Titan Part 2 Blu-ray Review | Metal Arcade

Metal Arcade: Jason Bakker writes:

Attack On Titan has quickly become a phenomenon, spreading like wildfire throughout Japan and now making its way to the the west in both manga and anime form. After the female titan appeared, it got super duper good. Everything before that was INCREDIBLY slow. Almost unbelievably slow with so much inner monologues it made it hard to stay involved with it. Especially if you watched it at one episode a week on Toonami.

The ending episode of Season 1 was kind of disappointing though. At least season 2 is coming though!

I watched all the episodes back to back on Blu-ray, so it didn't seem slow to me. In fact I found the story behind the Titans to be extremely interesting so I didn't mind the points at which there wasn't a lot of action.

My sister watched them back to back on Netflix and too said she did not notice it being slow. I'm not saying there wasn't a lot of action at some parts, I don't mind things being calm, I'm talking about it taking 10 freaking minutes for someone to zip across the city as we hear their internal monologues of how everything is so bad and horrible and get flashbacks of people being eaten as well as the longest shots of their worried faces.

It got so bad at some points where if I was to recap an episode, I could only highlight literally like one little small thing.
