Collider:
Marvel Studios made some big announcements today during its fan event, one of which is the confirmation of the Thor 3 title and release date. The studio announced that Thor: Ragnarok will open in theaters on July 28, 2017, with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston confirmed to reprise their roles as the God of Thunder and his tricky brother Loki, respectively. Moreover, in introducing the film, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said it’s the key movie in the studio’s Phase Three, as it takes place directly after the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron. So what is a “Rangarok”, you might ask? Find out after the jump.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
I think more people are happy that Tom Hiddleston is returning than Chris Hemsworth
Not me, I'm happy Chris is back.
Said it before & will say it again...
I don't believe Odin is dead. Too big of a thing to leave out. I'm guessing he is in one of his deep sleeps again or has gone down to Tesco as he's running low on milk. In which case, this will happen, or something like it.
Loki will "free" Surtur from his prison by order of Thanos (Loki is working for Thanos in the movies) Loki promises Surtur access to Asgard so he can finally kill Odin & destroy Asgard. Shit happens & Loki doesn't live upto his promise obviously.
Loki will manipulate Thor (as he always does). He will have Mjölnir destroyed. Thor will travel to Surturs lair where Surtur will reforge Mjölnir on condition Thor kills Loki & allows Surtur into Asgard. Thor destroys some mountains with Mjölnir which allows Surtur & his army inside. Heimdall dies.
Thor has no intention of actually killing Loki. They are "brothers"
At this point Odin awakes.. Huge battle commences. Surtur finally deals with Odin, but before Surtur kills him, Loki gets the final strike on a very weakened Odin. Thor sees all this unfold & cannot believe his eyes. Rage induced, he kills Loki(for good this time) by ripping his head off. Or it will be a bit of Lokis trickery & Thor will rip off a severely weakened Odins head thinking it was Loki so Thor himself starts Ragnarok.
Heimadall is dead, Odin is dead, Loki is dead, leavin Thanos able to stroll on by skipping through the treasure room (unnoticed by Surtur, as Surtur would kick his ass) to finally get his hands on the Infinity Gauntlet.
Though all of this happens directly after Age of Ultron, Thor: Ragnarok is the last movie to be released before Avengers: Infinity War
Something along those lines anyway :) I cannot wait, so pumped
Was a bit let down with The Dark World, but hope to see this one deliver.
Dark World was good fun when I was watching it, but barely remember much more than Loki. Probably best that they do center this around Ragnarok, more of the Thor film I've wanted for a long time.
