No,they should keep the origin and move ahead with another actor like Batman Forever.Of course, not in the way Schumacher ruined the series, but just the basic idea.Ryan Reynolds was more suited for The Flash, his personality completely clashed with Hal Jordan's seriousness in the comics.
Never really found it funny. There are tons of better comedy these days, especially on Cable.I haven't really enjoyed a sitcom with a laugh track since the days of Seinfeld.
Tell me about it.I do the same thing, only I prefer buying TV shows instead. In the past month,I've started watching Justified,Boardwalk Empire,The Borgias,Community and Sherlock (UK).At least I won't be bored for a while.
I would really want to see a prequel.Tom Hardy kept referring to some "old jobs" during the scene in Mombassa.Plus, who here doesn't want to know how the entire team and the basic idea came about. In any case,I would be happy just to see what Chris Nolan's up to next.Definitely the best director on the planet,at least in my opinion...been a huge fan since I saw Memento.
I kinda liked Sucker Punch, the others were terrible.Your Highness was so disappointing, especially since I was a huge fan of the director's previous movie - Pineapple Express.
We should have a more confident Lex Luthor fighting Superman in the sequel, without any comic relief henchman.I'd do anything to see Lex done right, and Chris Nolan's shepherding the movies bodes well for my expectations.
Sucks, because this has to be one of the best summers we've had.Inflated 3D prices are to blame.Though I saw almost every big movie in theaters from late April-early August,I can reason why many people preferred being home. The amount you spend to see a movie in theaters can be spend months later to buy the same movie's blu-ray/DVD.
Also the awful weather conditions across the US (especially in the midwest) should not be discounted.
Every movie buff knows that Scarface,Heat,Silence Of The Lambs (which you left off) are remakes. The only one I'm surprised about is The Thing and His Girl Friday, especially since I'm a huge Cary Grant and John Carpenter fan.
Lady Vengeance was just horrible, only when compared to Park-Chan Wook's other works.I think Oldboy is magnificent, but it has much of the fanfare based on the explosive twist. His 'Sympathy for Mr.Vengeance' is perfect imo.
The Crow deserves a much higher place.Kill Bill is Quentin's most overrated movie, glad he bounced back with Inglorious Basterds...which itself is a revenge tale.Hard Candy and Irreversible, both immensely overrated simply because of the amount of gore...but both movies have some of the worst pacing possible.Wrath of Khan is another overrated POS.I never liked it as a kid, didn't find it compelling as an adult. I'll list some great Revenge flicks, all among my favorites -
I've read Charles Roven's interview, and they always intended to continue the Batman series and Joker was planned to be the villain at the time of Batman Begin's conception, which they left off to the sequel which was intended even if the movie wasn't going to received well.I don't know where you got your news.
Also,DKR might be Nolan's last direction attempt in the series, but Oldman and Caine have hinted that the series will carry on with Nolan taking p...
I didn't hate Green Lantern as much as the reviewers...but the movie is rife with problems. The jokey nature of Hal in the movie goes totally against his nature in the comics.Blake Lively is a horrible actress and I cringed everytime she was in the screen.I think the scenes in Oa were the films saving grace, and the sequel should focus on why Green Lanterns stand together, and maybe with Sinestro turning into a Supervillain will influence the script to focus more on Hal's path as a Lante...
