First piece of casting information about the movie was that Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford were all returning. You would have to be living in the guts of a galactic space worm to not know if Luke was going to be in the film. The only uncertain thing was WHEN he was going to show up in the film, not IF. This image does nothing to spoil that at all.
What exactly is a spoiler about this? The casting credits already gave away the fact that Luke shows up somewhere in the movie. That's all this picture confirms. Considering what else happens in the movie, I'd say that's a pretty mild spoiler, if it can even be called that.
Meh, completely disagree with everything you said. This wasn't a show about action and cleaning up the streets like Daredevil. Jessica Jones is much more about abuse and the psychological trauma that goes along with it, and overcoming the self doubt and shame of being victimized and getting justice.
JJ has enhanced strength, but she's not impervious to damage. Beating several armed thugs by blocking or avoiding their attacks and putting them down before they can ta...
I would say the movies are for kids (and the inner children in all adults) while the Netflix shows are what you watch after you put the kids to bed.
Only it's not really a crappy series anymore. Season 2 did a lot to improve on things, and season 3 is looking to be even better. Personally I hope they have plenty of crossovers and references since it really feels like AoS is where they're going to focus all of their attention on building the Inhumans. It's only fair that they get some of the movie love too.
Except that Joss Whedon is done with the Marvel movies and is moving on to other things. Granted, it remains to be seen if he'll stay on as a kind of steward for the MCU and help keep things running, but he won't be directly involved with any of the movies anymore.
That said, I think he's built enough of the groundwork to give other people a good chance at continuing his success.
Eh, I'd give it a 3.5/5. There were definitely some interesting elements. I thought the majority of the Katana Girl segments were stupid, save for the last little bit. I was pretty sad to see Zachary Levi as a bad guy, but I have hope for his character. The little season teaser during the end credits looks very promising, though, so I'll stick with it.
It baffles me that there are people who consider Salvation to be the worst (previous worst?) of the Terminator films when Rise of the Machines is RIGHT THERE! Salvation was not everything it could have (should have!) been, but I'd still watch that a million times over before watching the utter garbage fest that was T3.
Meh, I have hope that it will be good, but DC has a long way to go to prove that they can make actual super hero movies that are anywhere close to how good Marvel's movies have been these past few years. Man of Steel was ok. Nothing fantastic, but it had promise. The Nolan Bat-films were not super hero movies. Too much reality takes all the fun out of something that should have been over-the-top.
Marvel has done so much work to lay out a great lineup of team-up movies...

And in the comics the Silver Samurai isn't some feeble dude in a 12 foot mechanical suit of armor. Not saying that The Wolverine was a bad movie. I enjoyed most of it. But I do agree that their take on the Samurai was a mess.
Wasn't trying to be a dick. I was just making a joke about the fact that you managed to avoid any of the discussions about the casting and later about the plot revelations. Might have blown over in a week for the areas of the internet you visit, but it was talked about over and over again in the areas that I frequent.
Again, not trying to be a dick, so my apologies if I came across that way.
Not even the new Mad Max?
Given all the controversy around the casting for Johnny Storm, I'm surprised there is anyone who hasn't heard of this movie. It must be hard to get internet thanks to that rock you've been living under.
Casting a black guy in a white role while keeping his biological sister white aside, if the interview with the new Doctor Doom is to be believed, this movie is going to suck worse than the original films. Probably even worse than the unreleased film from '94....
This would be the sixth actual X-Men movie (not counting Wolverine's solo stuff, and unfortunately counting the abysmal X3), so "early" is kind of a stretch, isn't it? Besides, if they do the movie right, Apocalypse won't just go away. They could defeat him, he'll make an escape and go off somewhere to hide and tend to his wounds, and come back years later to make more trouble.
One thing I hope to see when they do finally get around to rebooting th...
Dude, I have been saying that for YEARS! Christopher Judge would be perfect for Apocalypse! There was an episode of SG-1 where Teal'q is facing away from the camera, turns to look over his shoulder, says something and grins. All he needed was the blue/gray skin, the line coming from his lips, and the symbol removed from his forehead, and it would have been a perfect Apocalypse moment.
Damn the naysayers! I'm right there with you in hoping it leaks.
Meh, aside from Harry Osborne, I don't have much to gripe about for the casting. Granted, I'd have been much happier with Emma Stone if they would have had her play MJ because Emma is completely gorgeous as a red head, and we all knew Gwen would have to die at some point, but she still rocked in the role, so not much to complain about.
I like Andrew Garfield as Spidey. I think he is a lot more jovial, and he pulls of brooding just as well.
Well, considering the fact that Spider-Man is a MARVEL character and has nothing to do with DC (other than that time Marvel and DC got together to do the crossover stuff) I would say you should feel pretty ok with it. That big "M" in the upper left corner of every Spidey comic should give it away.
Or the page flipping Marvel films logo at the beginning of every Spider-Man movie for those who don't read the comics.
I love The X-Files, but honestly there was nothing super exciting about the initial run of episodes. It wasn't until the end of the first season that the show really started coming into it's own.
BSG, on the other hand, was amazing. Granted, it cheated a bit by having a mini-series for the pilot, and thus was able to cram a bunch of story and character development in right away, but it was a solid play that worked out extremely well. If the series had ended as well...
Eh, looks more orange and red to me, which is fine. I like it.
