I think going back to basics as far as production values and SFX are concerned would do him a world of good. Put aside his own massive billionaire baggage and make something quiet and personal.
Charlize Theron was great in this, shame she didn't get the golden Globe for it.
And you're right, not as in your face alternative as Juno.
Denzel is always good to watch, even if the film is not so great. I've never heard of this before, and the director hasn't done anything major or that I've seen, so jury is still out for me.
If he was playing another Jack Bauer type character - yes, it would be too soon. But playing a fresh character? No problem. Leaving it too long would make him Jack Bauer and nothing else.
Agreed. I think the universe is trying to tell them something - no one wants this made!
Nicholas Cage in another epic bout of awesomeness.
That said in a slightly sarcastic tone, I actually enjoyed the first one quite a lot, it was fun, which is more than can be said of some of his other recent movies.
Will watch it. On Blu Ray.
A cameo would be in set up for a prominent role in a sequel, assuming that the film is successful. Cooper's just beginning to get his big time lead roles now, can't see him wanting to tie himself to this. Not sure super villain matches up with his persona or acting abilities either.
Jealous that you've seen this already! I mean it's got Nick Frost and Simon Pegg as twins, that alone sells it. Never mind Speilberg, Peter Jackson, Andy Serkis etc.
No no no no no no no! The first is amazing, there is absolutely zero need to remake this. Damn Hollywood.
Fallen for it hook, line and sinker. Congratulations, you have fallen victim to the advertising juggernaut.
