I don't think black is the issue. Also someone can come from working class routes. I think bond needs to be strong and suave. Elba is a strong actor and portrays a strong character well but he isn't suave. He comes across as rough (which plays to his sex appeal) and the characters he plays reflect that (look at Luther which is basically a rougher version of Sherlock). It is the wrong character for him. Even if some can over look that Idris is 43. He too old to be bond now. Daniel Crai...
@lord_sloth
Sean Connery is British.
OT: I think he is too old now. Michael Fassbender is the right age and a more suitable bond.
This idea is too idiotic to fail. I am really intrigued to see how this works
I see your point but in a way I think this might be a better approach for a more serious film. The one thing that has never made sense of the Marvel films is how the heroes don't band together for the solo flicks. It depends where DC wants to go with this but I would like to see a more shared universe
The vilification of Superman makes sense in this universe. In Man of Steal Superman, while trying to save the world, completely destroyed metropolis. It was be insane and dumb for this film not to play on that. Here you have an immense being that can seemingly do anything and there is nothing anyone can do to stop him.
In the trailer you see solders/people idolise him (they have his insignia on their solders and the got down on one knee when he arrived) but at the same time ...
A bit rich since I felt the third was the worst out of all of them.
Isn't this on the same line of thinking of what if he signs up for a new film (nothing related to John wick)? Would that hinder his chances? Honestly, Marvel would make it work if they really wanted him. Marvel films have becomes that big that they would rather get the guy they want than risk going for second best.
I think the name is going to push this more than the quality of this trailer. Everything about that trailer screamed b-movie middle of the night syfy channel. I knew a Halo adaptation would be difficult and I feel this trailer hasn't helped change my mind
"Hopefully in the film version they'll make it so it really relates to the "Who's side are you on" tag line. Both sides need to come off like they are in the right, they need to have it so Stark has some good reasons behind supporting the bill"
Which is why I think the Civil War idea will not sit well with the general audience. The reasons why comic books movies have worked so well in the past is there is a definite bad guy and good guy (protagonis...
That was such a good film. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it
Watch world's greatest dad. It is a must
Found footage is making me worried more than time spent filming. Found footage works well for films like Chronicle but not in the case of trying to bring a comic book over to the screen. Chronicle is a totally different thing entirely with a set up that works for found footage. I am not sure how this film will pull that off
I never got the fantom behind Lord of the Rings/The hobbit. For me those films are just painfully slow and in large parts not really acted that well(what ch I think has more to do with the scriot/setting than the actors thenselves). Not saying Harry Potter or transformers is any better but there area lot of better films than don't even make it near a list like this
"Logistically, it doesnt make sense for them to fight each other to the death, and then be chummy chums in the JL films and beyond"
Depends on how they do it. From what I saw in the Man of Steel Superman is a major liability for the human race. Sure humans were invading but he didn't show control (throwing bad guys all over the place). From what they have said about Batman so far (old crime fighter) it could work. It isn't enemy/hated type thing but more of ...
Ben Affleck is the main reason why I am excited by this film. Not only is he a great director (so he can add the whole process) he is a darn good actor. People look at Ben as he was back when daredevil released (2003 a good 11 years ago)
I have a feeling (depending how it does) they will push another guardians of the Galaxy out quite quickly. Currently I think it is a safe bet it will do well.
The Last of Us universe is best suited for a TV mini series (preferably in a similar style to how the UK does it). They could tell an interesting story that way in The Last of Us universe. I feel Uncharted is too indiana jonesey to be made into a good film
I feel the look is irrelevant and must not be a reason to choose an actor/actress. It is how good of an actor. With that in mind I feel signing people like her maybe be a bit of a mistake. They need heavy hitters for people to watch the show in the first place. Even though I feel house of cards is amazing I doubt it would be as recognised or as watched if it didn't have Kevin Spacey. He initially drew in the audience then the quality of the show made a fanbase.
Affleck made a lot of his mistakes earlier on in his career. Looking at the stuff he has done recently should give people a lot of confidence not only in his acting ability but also his directing ability (which is paramount as he can give guidance on the fly).
Actually they aren't that expensive. http://comicbook.com/2016/0...

So unlikely a costume but merchandise
