I did think that Season 2 was too much homage and not enough new content but it had at least some good episodes and moments. I think the hype of season 1 has overridden it and they had a hard time keeping up with expectations so played it safe.
Kennedy pretty much said Poe, Rey, and Finn survive as they want to look at stories with them post Episode 9.

True, I think it is a case of Irons and Jones were the only real names from the original. And lets be honest, if they had a white actor playing Scar, there would be hell to pay in terms of backlash in this day and age.
Remember, global audience. You have a generation of people who do not know who the originals are and you need name star power, especially for the new generation and to sell overseas.
I cannot even watch it anymore. I record it and video search through it until I see something worth stopping and watching. I have not stopped on the last 6 episodes.

Game studios will sell the rights to the game but in many cases limit what can be done. "Wing Commander" could not use the designs of the ships, uniforms, or Kilrathi nor any storylines from the game series. "Far Cry" was allowed to use the names of the characters and an island setting, but it could not be a Tropical island and the look and names of...
