It has been known that this was going to be a triology. After first movies success. I thought everyone knew? was one the main reasons why many hated the movie, for leaving questions that will be answered later :) which will then add more questions to conclude on a third movie - or leave it open. It depends on how greedy they get. Heck, they have expereince in resurecting the dead like with Alien 4

I travel a lot, and hence having a sword would mean that I can't exit the country with it, not in normal means anyway. So even if I win - by impossible chance, I wont be able to use it at all. Not that I was planning to use-it use it. :D

Straight to VOD might not be very profitable for them. I mean for a single screening you pay a quarter of what the DVD costs, and then there is the fact that many people dont watch if its not on the screen - hence why they will never use the VOD option.
A brilliant end to a brilliant series. I really hope they do a Halo movie.

You know what they say . . . when an idea "seems" good, milk it dry. The recent wave of two parters should be evidence of that. Its just a money grab, nothing more.
and you are right, that is exactly what it was. a very long prolog. the real movie starts at 2, and the conclusion apparently at 3.
