Hi there. I'm the person who made this complaint. At its core, it still promised to be a horror film in the vain of The Shining. And I don't think it did that. I know I'm in the minority, but as a person who was so excited for this -- especially since I don't like cheap jump scares -- I was disappointed.
I loved the first one. To me, this one is that bad.
One of the more forgettable episodes
Well, that was a mistake, supposed to be 4/10.
It is completely a Mad Max film. Have to disagree with that. Even in Road Warrior, he always played the strong silent type, while dealing with other people's problems.
Also, on the stunts alone, this movie is balls to the wall insanity, which is much appreciated in a summer that feels "meh" so far. But to each is own.
Completely understandable! I went in with extremely low expectations and was pleasantly surprised.
I don't know how they made Simon Pegg boring. They give him the role of a maniacal assassin and this is least charismatic he has ever been on screen.
IT"S R!! It was all just an elaborate April Fool's Day prank! http://www.joblo.com/movie-...
It's a solid rental.
Yeah, they really have not lived up to Pineapple Express.
Yeah, Cool Beans it comes awfully close for me. But Return just squeaks it out.
The same thing happened with the episode titled Selina Kyle.
Yeah, they build a world unlike any other. It's just a fun film and I hope that this does well at the box office.
You see I was the opposite. Didn't like the first one, loved the absurdity of the second, but the third one is just bad.
Again, knowing nothing walking in, I was expecting more of a depraved ride. But I certainly have been thinking about going to the Joe Hill novel, which certainly has staunch backers.
Love the Kill List..It is one of those films that sticks with you well after you turn it off. And the more I have thought about it, the more I loved it. Ben Wheatley is a genius!
You can watch that long lost pilot online somewhere. And same, I want this to happen so bad!!!
Yeah, I would put it down as aggressively average. It has some truly cool elements—the final fight, the ending, some beautiful visuals—it just feels like a movie mired by 'behind the scenes' controversy.
You pretty much summed up my review. And I am too really optimistic, at least right now, about the future.
Thanks.
