Shadow of the Colossus PS4 Looks Outrageous on PS4 Pro - Push Square

Push Square: "That Shadow of the Colossus, a game that originally released in 2005, can be mistaken for a current-gen game is testament to the outstanding work that Bluepoint’s done on this PlayStation 4 remake. This is a complete rebuild of Fumito Ueda’s seminal boss rush release, and while it maintains the ethereal feel of the original, it honestly looks like a brand new game."

LOL why are you getting downvotes???, some people are so sad and pathetic.

Felsager2284d ago

The envy of Xbox enthusiasts is way too strong.

UCForce2284d ago

Bluepoint never disappoints.

Silly gameAr2284d ago

Pretty sure it will be good no matter which PS4 you play it on.

Sony had so many 1st and 2nd party exclusives that I missed out on some of them. LUCKY for me this is one of them and it is getting a 4k REMAKE?! How Lucky AM I?! I will be getting this one since I never played it. Good job Sony/Bluepoint.

I like Sony/Nintendo/ and Microsoft remakes but especially if I missed some of them because of the number of them like from Nintendo and Sony.

Not surprising knowing most PS4 exclusives look really good on the Pro.

Xenophon_York2285d ago (Edited 2285d ago )

Agreed—but 'givens' can sometimes go under-appreciated. Sony and developers busts it to bring us such quality AND quantity. Could just as easily be flooded with sub-par exclusives. I'm grateful for the extraordinary, above-and-beyond offerings—especially where the enhancements on the [true] Pro gaming system is concerned.

Eidolon2284d ago (Edited 2284d ago )

Yeah, they look good on PS4 platform, period. I really wish developers could put a 60fps mode on all of them for 1080p.

indyman77772284d ago

Horizon Zero Dawn was what convinced me of the same thing! I will take 30fps of 4k in HDR mode. Just make sure you have a 60fps mode for people that think 60fps is more important. Let them decide from experiencing the difference for themselves.

DialgaMarine2285d ago (Edited 2285d ago )

Hardware power means nothing if it doesn’t have quality developers to back it up. Pro has that quality.

Hardiman2285d ago

This game brings back so many memories! I can't wait to play this world again with more detail to flesh it out!

leahcim2285d ago

yes same here!! look at that grass OMG O_O

madforaday2285d ago

I said to myself, it isn't going to look that much better to the ps3 version. I only played it on the PS2. I watched the video and when Wander walked out of the castle and started walking outside, I was amazed! That looks absolutely gorgeous!

indyman77772284d ago

Easy there don't blab out any spoilers there are some of us that missed the original and are going to jump on the remake.

GaboonViper2284d ago

But Timdog said it if doesn't have 4K textures its crap.

Daman Shelley from NoobFeed writes - Dragon's Dogma is truly a one-of-a-kind game, and there really is no other game like it, but there are a few that come close. I can still hear the title screen music in my head after nearly 12 years. Loved every minute of it.

MrNinosan100d ago

I have no issues filling my time til DD2.
Granblue Fantasy: Relink, Infinite Wealth and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will probably me more than enough.
More terrified I won't be done in time.

DivineHand125100d ago

Try not to burn yourself out before the game releases. This is going to be a long and immersive RPG like the first one.

The games in this article are all great and I believe the people who are excited for Dragons Dogma 2 probably already played most of those games.

For now, I recommend you prepare yourself for long play sessions if you will be picking up Dragons Dogma at launch.
