The battle of the beautiful racers.
On the day that Gran Turismo Sport’s online services are switched off for good, a reflection on how impactful the game was for the sim racing industry.
fantastic game
innovative match making with player ettiquite tasked into account
GT7 improves on it with:
all the same tracks + loads more tracks
all the same cars + loads more cars
improved / new physics
dualsense support + haptics for road bumps
improved lighting + weather changable mid race
much more vast one player races, challenges, leagues etc.
more of an iteration than a revelation, but what they improve, they have improved so drastically it is deffo worth getting.
GT Sport, like Gran Turismo 7, requires internet to save. But now that its servers are going dark, that requirement is being removed.
First an in-game concept car for GT Sport and Gran Turismo 7, the BC08 Solus GT has turned the virtual into the reality for 25 lucky customers.
Dat Vision Gran Turismo. Always getting new concept cars. Art imitating life imitating art.
If it's not "The Real Driving Simulator," it's definitely "The Real Car Creator."
I saw on YouTube the other day Lamborghini have also turned their vision Gt car into a real life car.
It just shows the talent that is at Polyphony Digital when real manufacturer's are that impressed with their designs.
Meanwhile over at Turn10....Hotwheels, Lego, and Minecraft avatars.
i know id pick up forza over GTsport, the sheer amount of content, great controls and the
visuals even without the onex are amazing. Glad to side with twinfinite of this one, Forza 7 is just the superior game
Depends on the style of game you want I guess. Both look really good.
So total lack of single player mode is OK now. 24/7 Online thing is OK now. GT Sport plays great but it's yet another game after Destiny and such like that will feed us with DLC - It feels more like demo to me.
Tough choice 🤔
Game A:
+More courses available
+The biggest car selections of this generation
+Dynamic transitions day/night and weather
+An offline single player career campaign
+Native 4K capable on console
+highest reviewed console sim racing game this year
+Do not required a monthly online subscription to fully take advantage of the game.
-Optional loot box microtransactions
Game B:
+No optional loot boxes
+Limited VR support
-No offline career mode
-need to be online to save your progress
-1/4 less car selection
-less courses
-No Dynamic day/night and weather
-Need a monthly online subscription to fully take advantage of the game.
I think I'll go with option A.
