what's your point every major fps shooter franchise is literally the same shit every year with a reskin. call of duty and battlefield to name the biggest two franchises whether some of you want to admit it or not. call of duty gets shit for it when battlefield does the same too but everyone still buys it. i don't see why people are behaving so different. what do you guys want destiny 2 to do differently then since you guys are crying so much about it?

Just finished the beta....whys it more inferior to the first games beta? Heck even the alpha. Felt too much like a demo. Other than that, the game was meh. Story is much more interesting this time around but everything else is pretty much the same. Kinda on the fence on getting the game tbh and if I do, itll just be because my friends are playing it.

Played D1 for three years, however, this beta is terrible and has not convinced me to dedicated another three years of purchased DLC and time. I will wait for Bioware's game and maybe get an Xbox X for battlegrounds. Poor effort on the beta, boring, no leveling or item drops and open world exploration like in D1's beta.

If you liked destiny 1 you will like destiny 2. If you didn't like destiny 1 you won't like destiny 2. Pretty simple really, it's a sequel to a game you can make an argument for a majority of sequels that they can be expansions. I personally am looking forward to destiny 2. But to each their own. And regardless of what people want to say on the internet and how many articles like this will get attention chances are this game will break sales records.

I wouldn't be surprised if Destiny 2 breaks the record of most and fastest selling game on PSN when it launches. Just as Destiny did when it came. These negative spin articles are like a broken record. Destiny was a huge success regardless of what the naysayers try to convince others with.

Played some of the beta, Destiny 2 is not my type of shooter. I the game's style of PvP, simply isn't for me.

I walked in the beta with low expectations, and I still walked out feeling disappointed. It's the same thing. All of these changes could have been added to the original game as dlc. but they decided to make a sequel instead. Destiny 2 in all honesty doesn't feel like a sequel. That's a fact! I mean look at eso. Alot of people don't like the game, but it's changed alot though the years and they never had to make a sequel. They added dual-ing with other players, text chat, dungeon finder, ect. Look at battlefront 2 looks completely different from the first. Now that my friends is a sequel not this. I am sorry but it just looks like a money grab to me.

IT'S TOTALLY UNPLAYABLE on my PS4 PRO.

It literally crashes EVERY time I get 1/3 of the way through the story mode, so I can't finish it to see the rest of the beta.

I'm seriously cancelling my preorder at this point.

You know its click-bait,when the title is in a form of question. You played a beta not the full game, so how can d2 be disappointing if its not even out yet. Now if you want to talk about why you we're disappointed about the beta, than sure, there's a discussion there, but to judge solely base off a tiny beta, like its the full game makes no sense.
I enjoy the beta, was there things that need addressing of course, its why you play a beta, to test things out to give info back to dev so they can see for themselves.

Destiny 2 will absolutely share one factor with the original Destiny. It will receive tons of hate, while simultaneously being hugely successful. I don't really have a horse in this race, but if people feel like it's worth their money, and willingly choose to spend their money because they believe they will put dozens or hundreds of hours into their purchase, then who cares? People that hate Destiny sure do like to talk about it. Just play what you wanna play, and let everyone else do the same.

Honestly, I regret preordering (PSN) the game. Seems to me like the first Destiny.

Also preordered COD, and while I did that for the campaign, the ridiculous nazi zombie mode made me regret it. COD should take their game more serious and learn from the first few games. Adding a zombie mode is a real disgrace. Battlefield 1 is the best shooter I played and they are doing a far better job than COD.

Do I really have the start the beta over again after exiting the first couple missions? I got to the part after Ikora does her magic stuff to the aircraft. Is there no save points?

Im loving the Beta with its more expansive environments and more granular combat.

The dead, static environments are still present. I really try to like Destiny but I just can't get into it. Bungie just aren't the premiere developers everyone makes them out to be.

Destiny is one of my favorite games this gen so far, but the sequel so far does feel a lot like a large expansion. Its odd tho cause idk if I have a major problem with that, I loved the first game and just wanted more content and they claimed to have done that. We'll see when the game comes out but I was slightly disappointed with the beta, felt way too similar to a game I've already been playing since 2015. Doesn't feel fresh and like a new experience...

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I respect someone's opinion of not liking something but hating something? I mean you have people who follow Bungie on Twitter and are the first to reply with hate. That's dedication. More so than many fans have.

I personally am super excited for this game and the beta proved to me that so far it seems they got the right idea for Crucible. I can't wait to play it! I spent over 1710 hours on Destiny in my life. That alone has to be enough for me to say it's my best "bang for my buck" game EVER.
So if these claims are true about it being "DLC" then let's go! I'll get more entertainment out of those $50 (Getting the White PS4 Pro bundle) than any other DLC or even game has ever gave me.

Sony's exclusive content is one reason that I can't force my self into supporting this game. I get it's all about sales, but Bungie used to be all about the fans. Once again, content is being withheld for those who own the same game on a different console. All of the MS exclusives were at least reasonably timed (not over a year or so), and primarily were based around COD DLC packs...There's a difference here as this game has much more of a social aspect to it.

I can't really put my finger on it but, somehow it feels a lot better than the last one. Story more cohesive, graphics colors pop a bit more. As smooth as the last one and a bit more. I'm buying it.

The beta was alright. I never really got into destiny but I preordered anyways. It's one of the few games that all my buddies play and that makes it worth it to me despite my indifference towards the actual game.

Disappointing? Felt ok to me. The beta mission was at least somewhat interesting...compared to ALL OF the first game.
And the arena multiplayer is where it's at anyway...

Destiny 2 is already a disappointment, so why even care about an article about it?

I clocked 1800 hrs into Destiny 1 and can say I hate everything about Destiny 2 so far and I can easily tell the reasons why.

1: the one strike they gave us is super bland and boring and very uncreative. And judging by destiny 1 I highly doubt many of the others strikes will be much different.

2: they went right back to the bullet sponge crap and now its even worse.

3: slowed down the gameplay significantly, and the jumping abilities on the characters are super clunky actually everything about the game feels clunky shooting, movements, etc...

4: takes way to long for you to earn your super. The one thing you need to kill all these bullets sponges and it takes like 10 min to earn.

5: Their mechanics simply don't work with their weapon system. Just like in Destiny 1 the only real way to dish damage against enemies was by using special weapons like sniper shotgun etc.. now in Destiny 2 with those now being power weapons it totally breaks the game cause now the only way to dish damage is with your super and it takes like 10 min to earn it. They need to change mechanics to make primary weapon gameplay the main focus. But just like in Destiny 1 you feel you need a power weapon to do anything in this game.

6: they still have the horrible light leveling system. This is easily the worst leveling system I seen in a game its frustrating and only a system developed to cause you to grind countless hours. Cause you can be light 299 have everything 300 but nope your ghost is 299 and holding you back so now you need to grind stuff for endless hours relying on rng to get you the one piece of loot you need to level up. Its a garbage system

7: You die way to fast in this game to. Literally with high resilience I still find myself in critical just after taking like 3 shots. So it takes a mag for us to kill the enemy but they can basically kill us in like 4. Yup sounds pretty familiar (division)

8: even with them maxing out your level you still feel underpowered so I see that still hasn't changed either. Im willing to bet to in the real game just like destiny 1 i can be level 20 light 300 and get 3 shotted by a level 2 dreg. Power in this game is non existent and you never feel like you get more powerful as you progress.

People just want to genuinely hate on unreleased popular things. I am not sure what people were expecting from the beta. The introduction to D2's story already leaps ahead vanilla D1, and gun play remains solid with the slight annoyance how weapons slots works, probably to balance out POV. Visually it looks better than the first.

I find it disappointing there is even a destiny 2. Destiny 1 was supposed to a 10 year game and had so many issues I understand why they made a second. But like most things in life now everything is either the greatest ever or not worth doing or making at all.

Destiny 2 isnt DLC its a follow up full game. Those that say it feels like first game LOL of course it does as its the same franchise just like gears of war 2 > gears of war 3 etc etc etc. What did people expect mushrooms & koopa troopers?

I played the beta sat night on my PS4 Pro on my 4K tv and would get about halfway threw the first mission and the game would crash , did this 3 times so I just deleted it and said screw it!

From what I played seemed more the same but better graphics (tho I was playing on 4k compared to only playing on 1080p on D1). The crashing really turned me off enjoying the game and will defiantly skip destiny 2 wasn't enough from what I played to draw me back in!

I wasn't impressed with the beta but I can see why people will enjoy it. To me, the movement felt sluggish but the shooting was as solid as ever. Bonus is I don't have to worry about buying it cos me n my mate console share and he's already bought it, so I have a copy waiting for me when it's released.

I don't. That's why I won't be touching it like most online oriented games this gen and that goes for GT Sport too.

The three classes works well, the enemies are greatly improved in detail and AI. The bosses and the runs are very interesting. However, the maps must be larger and allow more exploration without these boundary barriers.

The cooling on the grenades is way too much. The cooling of the super is exaggerated making the super incidental and useless. It takes out all the fun on these powers. The movement of the characters are way too slow and there are no parkour for more maneuver.

We constantly run out of ammo and munition on these weapons. The heavy weapons are no fun at all. The scarcity of the heavy ammo affects the use of those great tools. In PVE that fun is completely hampered. Please adjust better clip sizes for the weapons and availability.

We enjoyed playing with weapons of fallen enemies, why can't we have that in here? Those could be limited in munition like the weapons used in Horizon Zero Down.

The weapons feels right but Bungie is way too dictatorial imposing their mindset on how we should use them. Their weapon design and the rhythm of shooting is perfectly executed. PVP must be a small part of the game while PVE must be the grand actor. In PVE evade the use and abuse of the "noob tube", the "heavy noob spammer", the " camping paradise of the sniper" and the "grenade spammer"

In the twenty first century we want dedicated servers where "WE CHOOSE THE MAP, WE CHOOSE OUR FRIENDS AND WE CHOOSE OUR PARAMETERS OF GAMEPLAY". Overwatch allows us to design, choose and modify our characters. Bungie must loosen a bit and allow us to have more control over the type of fun we want.

PVE and PVP must be separate. If the same conditions are imposed on both, one of them will suffer. Bungie must provide a more cooperative experience and a rewarding RNG system instead of being so punitive with the drop rate like they did with the Gallarhorn.

Take the good attributes of Warframe as reference and provide a good circulation of items instead of spamming the players with useless weapons and items. Make accessible all the Items in PVE.

Provide the next stage on the weapons adding modifications to them, alternate fire and "super" on weapons. Some weapons requires cooling for using their special abilities, however those features will only apply on PVE.

Bungie promise us that you can fix these simple things.

I certainly don't care. If it's more of the first it's a hard pass from me. Maybe I'll try it when it's $20.
