Since we don't know anything about either, I will say the one with the better hardware will be more powerful. Seems logical to assume.

Doesn't matter which one will be more powerful, what matters which one will have better exclusive games and focus on games the most.

I am getting both so don't matter just like I currently have both the PS4 and XB1.

The fire must be coming from somewhere so there is truth of a kid generation upgrade so people need to stop being I'm denial and just accept it. As far as answering the question I sure hope the Xbox is since it seems the NEO will release a lot earlier than it. All in all e3 is going to be pretty exciting this year.

Sony is going for a decent 4K player FIRST,the additional power towards games is an afterthought.
Unless it's VR related,games in general benefit from both incentives.That's Sony's strategy.
You could argue about this being progress or it being a very unfortunate reality,the fact remains that 4K
and VR has more potential towards the mainstream.Even Microsoft can't deny that.

lets wait and see, honestly i am not happy with this gen so far 2016 looked and looking interesting but since nothing is complete we might get these things which we call upgrades to ruin the cycle something i predicted just when nintendo announced the NX, i am laughing now cause its fulfilling exactly as i imagined i will still hope that i am wrong or otherwise i will leave the gaming medium the cool thing about consoles was that you get quality games for several years with the main focus being on to extract as much power as possible from that system at the same time providing engaging game play now with these upgrades you can sense that most of the job will focused on the new machines if something doesnt work on the old model ( quality wise ) they wont bother with optimization they will just do it with the new one so that it could be a reason for people to buy it .
my prediction is IF ANNOUNCED the thing i fear the most is the justification of the purchase this particular move for me will decide everything .

Microsoft is in a position where they just might run the run the tab and sell the hardware at a good loss. More powerful would be useful in delivering a solid VR experience and have a leg up on the competition.

That being said, it's still incredibly likely to backfire. The general consensus suggests PlayStation 4 is simply the more appealing machine with more appealing games. Purely subjective, but I'd say PlayStation exclusives are better loved. PS4 is still the platform many gamers and their friends are on. More power isn't likely to change that since it's a negligent point, as history suggests.

Microsoft dropping more powerful hardware is great for newcomers and sales suggest there's a good amount of people who haven't bought one yet. It's a smart move for those consumers. But if you bought an Xbox One followed by its revision, it's high time you invest in a PC. I just don't see what warrants that kind of purchase.

I can't even say Neo is worth it if games are still happening on standard PS4. Different strokes, but I think Neo makes more sense purely because there are a notable amount of games unavailable anywhere else.

Neither of the consoles with this spec will be able to do 4k gaming, (Triple AAA). Both will do 1080/60 without problems. This means that its all on the hands of the studios to make the best game and not on the specs.

This makes a lot of sense for Microsoft actually. They have the money to put out a more powerful console and then if they team up the Oculus to fight Sony VR. Oculus is better than PS VR that's more powerful this would make sense as to why they would need a more powerful Xbox to run it. This could be pretty big for Microsoft if this is true. Personally why don't we just get the next Xbox and PS 5 if we're going through all this trouble.

Remember when the specs were "known" for Xbox One and PS4 before release? They said Xbox would be more powerful. Then right before release PS4 dropped a bombshell upgrade at memory. The GPU turns out is around 40- 50% stronger. I would hold your horses on Xbox rumors. The Kings of underwhelming us after building unrealistic expectations.

The Xbox Two is reportedly more powerful but it's also releasing much later and a much higher price point. My guess is it will be at least $100 more than the NEO.

Looks like Sony won the battle but lost the war. MS has the advantage of infinite money, and going later, and they are pissed.

That doesn't bode well for Sony who will now after these upgrades be getting the worst version of multiplatform games. They are too conservative while MS is shooting for the stars with this, they want to win. Sony has always been too conservative, the PS4 was only going to have 4 GB or RAM until they found out the Xbone had 8.

sold my Xbox one. not enough games coming out for it (and only it) most Xbox one games seem to release on PC and Xbox. either later or same time. not much looking forward for Xbox one.

PS4 overpriced and lack of games at the start of the generation but it got a little better with the price cut and going into year 2015-early 2016. and it has some more exclusives i am looking forward too that are not just coming out on PC later or sametime unlike Xbox one. just in my opinion at least.

There's really overall not much going for consoles this generation. lack of games a lot of big "triple a" releases have been huge disappointments. All the light is really on the indie games and smaller developers which for the most part are mainly making games for PC with a few indies here and there on consoles.

So in the end. Even if PC gaming is "high maintenance" and you rather just "easily plug and play" on a console. i still recommend going pc. you could buy a cheap pre-built pc just swap out the GPU for a gpu like the 750 ti and be fine for most of gaming unless of course you really want those "Big Triple A Releases" which may require you to lower settings. but honestly. big development studios haven't been bringing it this year. Watch Dogs, Fallout 4, The Division, Destiny, Star Wars Battlefront etc. all big disappointments. it's sort of changing. you get a few good games worthwhile of purchasing from these "Big name development studios" like BloodBorne, Rise of the Tomb Raider, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor etc. but that's just my opinion at least. but as i said. i think PC Gaming should be the first stop anyone too consider. Then get maybe 1 console down the line. like the Ps4 which seems to be doing better and has more exclusives but that's up to the person purchasing the console. i just don't see any reason to purchase an Xbox one unless you are just a console gamer then maybe there will be a reason but even then the PS4 has a lot more exclusives out and coming out for the console plus it is the more powerful system of the Xbox one (of course not by much). and you still will be playing at "30FPS" standard console gamers still are used too with a few exceptions like uncharted 4's multiplayer. for example.

all i know is that Nintendo was already worried about the NX competing with the original ps4 and xbone and it might not even be more powerful than either now, then you mention these new systems and they're putting out over twice the amount of GPU power than before. Nintendo knows they can't rely on gimmicks anymore, they must have something to rely on going forward...

If the 6tera flops is actually true, it would be a big treat for those who are interested in upgrading or just getting the console(That is if they have enough disposable income).

But I imagine it being the same as just buying a beefy PC since most of the games are going cross platform. There are more things that can be done on a PC so those who prefer going this path should be fine too, not missing out on anything except maybe Halo.

The main difference here is, console is more gamer friendly compared to PC because drivers, compatibilities and all
