Mark Wahlberg Officially Joins Transformers 4, Logo Revealed

Following his post yesterday suggesting that Mark Wahlberg could wind up with a role in the upcoming Transformers 4, Michael Bay has made if official: Wahlberg has joined the cast of the June 27, 2014 release. What's more, Bay has also revealed the logo for the sci-fi adventure sequel along with a new logo for his upcoming Pain & Gain.

The logo is terrible, and while Whalberg isn't a terrible actor.....really? Don't see how he fits here.

I agree with you on Whalberg. I like him as an actor but he does seem to stick out like a sore thumb in this movie. I also recently read something about Shia LeBeouf wanting to get back to the franchise but I forget where I saw it. Personally I'd prefer Shia came back.

Frankly, I like the idea of Mark Wahlberg joining the franchise, but I'd much rather have him join with a new director. Don't get me wrong, I like Michael Bay, but I'd like to see another director have a shot with a new vision and style. He's done three, so I think another set of three with a new cast and new director would have been a better choice. All of Michael Bay's movies in the franchise seem like the same thing over and over and I don't know if an older star will change much of anything when Michael Bay's style is so dominant.
