While a definitive release date has yet to be locked down, a poster and a collection of stills has debuted for the new Nicolas Cage thriller "Stolen" (formerly "Medallion," which made it sound like a negligible Jackie Chan movie), with the appropriately Nic Cage-y tagline: "12 hours. $10 million. 1 kidnapped daughter." We're not sure about the math, but we're certainly excited about the movie!
Nicholas of Movies Hate You Too writes:
This is the second straight week of somewhat lackluster Blu-ray releases after what seemed like a month straight of blockbusters and great catalog titles. This week we have a President’s love affair with… hot dogs, Fraser Crane rules Chicago with an iron fist, an Asian superstar takes on a supernatural snake and Nic Cage continues to dig his own cinematic grave. Not exactly a banner week- maybe next week will be better.

Rehashing material already stomped into the dust by Liam Neeson and Mel Gibson, Stolen tells the time-worn tale of a man desperately trying to save his kidnapped daughter.
I personally like Cage, yet I felt that this film was really dull and boring. Too fake and it never really felt like it was going anywhere...Oh well. I hope to see better movies from Nic Cage.
I have heard they are working on a sequel where he has to steal 50 cars in one night to save his brother!

The fall 2012 film season has finally arrived. The summer blockbusters have come and gone. During the next few months, viewers will now be treated to some of the smaller movies that could win big come awards season - though films like The Hobbit and James Bond's Skyfall will still deliver the blockbuster experience.
Resident Evil is the only movie I'm looking forward to just because I know it can't disappoint.
