Thats the thing. People are getting all mad at the reboot (And I will admit it, I absolutely hate origin story reboots) but look at it people. MOST of you are complaining about how "poor" Spider-Man 3 was...then you turn around and go "Why don't they just continue off that!!!!" Makes no sense at all.

Spider-man 3 (while enjoyable to me) was done rather poorly and created a lot of dead ends for the franchise. Venom appears and dies within half a movie? Yeah...uhh...no. Let alone they skipped all these absolutely great stories and villains just to jump right into Venom.

Also facing facts, while I loved the suit and Tobey as Peter Parker, the whole storyline and acting was starting to feel dull. It needs to be re-energized and this movie seems to be doing just that. Also looking at it, they really amped up the visuals, which is something the other 3 movies lacked EXTREMELY bad....

Wait! WHAT!? Batman is getting a reboot!? WHY THE F**K is happening? BB and TDK are freaking awesome and the new one will kick ass the same way, I'm totally OK with Spiderman reboot since that wimpy Maguire is no more and by the trailers it looks really Amazing, but Batman, hell no! >:(

It's only to make money and they probably get problems with the actors wanting more and more money or can't do the movie at the right time etc.

The first 2 spider mans where great the 3rd is really silly, and far too wishy washy, it's a bit like the terminator movies where the robot can't kill people.

The other difference with a comic and a movie is the comic can do what ever they like even stuff that wouldn't be politic correct, but in a movie it's always has to be so you can't have really drastic stuff happening in them.
