I think The Last Samuri should have been included...that was a wonderful performance...he really showed his acting skills on that one. I really didn't care for some of his earlier work and that included Top Gun. Some people may think I'm crazy but if you really compare the acting...it doesn't even come close to how much different it is now...he has improved and matured in how he performs and approaches his characters and I just admire him so much more now.
