Would you believe I've never seen any of the Silent Hill movies and I won't see this one either.

There's only one Silent Hill movie, this is the sequel. Why won't you see them?

DarkBlood4380d ago

maybe becauses it based off the games?

either way i'll be seeing it, havent seen the first movie because i wasnt a fan of silent hill at the time or knew what it was in game format ever since i played the creepy games i like the series next to the resident evil games

so it gets my attention

I thought there were like 3 of them...I was saw some of the preview and just thought it was gross and didn't really make sense to me. If I'm going to be scared to death I at least want it to make sense.

There you have it! I know nothing about games...I'm always in the dark when it comes to movies that were made form games...however...I do like all the Resident Evil movies...but I guess that's because I like the Zombie movies and vampires and werewolfs and demons..etc.

All that I like but then I'm totally different when it comes to movies like Saw...forget it..I don't bother...to me it's just gross...I don't know why I'm like that...just am.

Well it's not like the movie doesn't make sense (although if memory serves it WAS confusing), you don't need to play the games to understand it. Silent Hill isn't really about gore it's more psychological/paranormal. Honestly you should give it a shot, it's a pretty interesting and entertaining flick. Absolutely nothing like SAW or Hostel.

It's regarded as one of the better video game movies adaptations too, far above the Resident Evil movies if that means anything.

oh trust me the games are scary as shit *in a good way lol* i would sometimes be a little weary of going through a hallway in the game when its dark and something lurking around the corner that i just want to stay away from it

despite loving the horror genre of anything thanks to the resident evil games that started it all for me the saw movies is about the only thing there i cant really stand for some reason lol

*SPOILER ISH ALERT*

silent hill first movie is based off the first game

this second movie will be based off the silent hill 3 which is a continuation after the first one but not the second one because it has nothing to do with them though it takes place in silent hill but a great story none the less

and they all have multiple endings something that movies cant really do that well unless they start making it interactive somehow which would be fun i guess

if you want to be up to date on these movie based games let me know and pm me i'll gladly help, i might even start a youtube channel playing the entire game series on there and you can watch it instead of playing it lol

i hope this sequel will be as good as the first one and stay true to the silent hill roots

Someone generously bought me the Silent Hill HD collection, I just finished the original Silent Hill too. Gonna rewatch the first film now that I've played the game to completion, looking forward to the film sequel now that I have Silent Hill 3 in my hands.

I'm so glad the sequel got green-lit. The first was a total underdog. Nobody saw it. Nobody gave it fantastic reviews. It deserves so much more. As a huge fan of the series, I was not let down by the film. :)
