IndieWire says
We probably don't need to give you the history of "Ghostbusters 3" and Bill Murray's possible involvement, but here goes a quick recap: the original gang, director Ivan Reitman and writer/stars Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis, have been trying to make a third installment of the "Ghostbusters" series for a few years now. But because of Murray's reluctance, likely precipitated by the lackluster execution of "Ghostbusters 2," pulling together a third film -- said to center on a new generation of younger ghostbusters -- hasn't been easy. Murray's responses over the years have generally boiled down to, "meh, do we really need another one?" and or more harsher assessments of the franchise's viability.
With the new The Crow remake coming soon, we take a look back at the 30-year-old cult classic original–and where the stars are now.
Kaam Chalu Hai Review: Based on true events, this movie is thought-provoking and inspiring
Rebel Moon Part 2 Review: This movie doesn't feel anything new or worth remembering, which is a shame.
Bring it, me love ghostbusters.
Yeah Bill Murray, is just hating because he doesn't get it, there is a whole new generation of people who will be seeing ghost busters for the first time...
...and though his was a classic, it probably makes him feel like the one he did will just be forgotten.. and even worst if this one is bad, then it will really just erase any love people had for the older movie.
What actors would best suit the next generation of the Ghost Busters? Whoever they are have to be really impressive.
I keep thinking James Roday would make a great candidate. Peter Venkman is similar to Shawn Spencer in some ways if you think about it. They almost seem like father and son.
DAMN YOU MORTALITY!!! I like the original cast, be cool to see what new blood could do to the saga though.
