Christophe Beck To Score R. I. P. D.

Christophe Beck has been tapped to score Universal Pictures’ supernatural action comedy R.I.P.D. The film is directed by Robert Schwentke (Flightplan) and stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon and Mary Louise-Parker. The movie based on the graphic novel by Peter Lenkov follows a cop killed in the line of duty who is recruited by a team of undead police officers working for the Rest in Peace Department and tries to find the man who murdered him. Phil Hay & Matt Manfredi (Clash of the Titans) have written the screenplay and Neil H. Moritz (I Am Legend, Fast Five) amd Mike Richardson (Hellboy) are producing the film. Reynolds, David Dobkin (The Wedding Crashers) Keith Goldberg, Jonathon Komack Martin (Tangled) and Ori Marmur (Battle Los Angeles) are among the executive producers of the Dark Horse Entertainment and Original Film production. Beck has previously worked with director Schwentke on the 2010 action comedy hit Red starring Morgan Freeman, Bruce Willis and Helen Mirren. R.I.P.D. is set for a release on June 28, 2013.

The musical score if very important to the movie. In some movies it's crucial. There's only one movie I know of that it didn't matter but almost always it's going to matter. This guy has done some really good work on some good movies so I'm sure he's going to do great on this as well.
