Latino Review:
It looks like it’s gonna happen because a while back in the trades, it was announced that just like Hitman and Tomb Raider, Just Cause was getting the game to movie treatment from producers Adrien Askarieh (Prime Universe Productions) and Eric Eisner (Double E Pictures)! The script was being developed independently and once the producers felt the script was on point, they would then package it through CAA and either make it independently or set it up at a studio. Of course I used all my resources and got my hands on the script! So what did we think?

A feature film based on the popular Square Enix video game Just Cause is getting closer to reality and the plans are to make a big-screen franchise from it. Jason Momoa, who stars as Aquaman in the hotly anticipated Justice League and has his own spin-off film for the character, has signed on to star and Brad Peyton has stepped in to helm the feature film from a screenplay by John Collee (Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World). Both Momoa and Peyton have worked together before on Netflix’s Frontier. Peyton directed Warner Bros.’ San Andreas which ended up with a global box office take of $473.9M.
THR - Just Cause hails from Square Enix, the home of the Tomb Raider and Hitman video games, and centers on a black ops agent codenamed the Scorpion who enters a guerilla war to overthrow a dictator. Just Cause 2 was released earlier this year and sold more than 3.5 million copies; a third game is now in development.
The movie will focus on the origin of the Scorpion, aka Rico Rodriguez
I don't know anything about it but if it's got action and a good story to it then I'll give it a try.
This is a game where the story is almost non-existent and is far more game-play focused. I don't know what board room idiot decided this could make a movie.
