I loved the way they introduced Michonne to the viewers. The first issue with her standing there with her chained zombies and sword in hand was iconic to the series and instantly conveyed just how much of a bad ass she is. I can't wait to see how they portray her and more importantly, what kind of situations they put her in.

I also really liked how they showed off the prison in the last frame of the season. They'll just wake up in the morning and BOOM there it is.

Andrea's all night and day run from Zombies proved just how badass she really is. And she was STILL fighting them!!!

I'm glad she found the level of badassery she had in the comics since my favorite character died in the previous episode.

I seriously almost stopped watching when he died. I didnt read the comics but i felt that after he died there was no need to continue on. I gave it one more chance and im glad that i did.

I thought it was totally awesome how she came about. They hid it so well, and it was a complete surprise. So great, especially since she wasn't even cast yet lol

I take bets that Carol will be the next zombie food.

Just because they want it remove some characters, like the Death scene of Dale. That was a cheap death with the zombie behind.
Why they didn't include more creativity. Some of them doesn't make sense.

The death of Jimmy, another cheap death and rushed to remove a character.

With Patricia (one of the blond girls) in the last episode, just doesn't make sense and the zombie suddenly appears in front of her while escaping, they just rushed this scenes to remove the characters.

Hopefully the next season won't have this kind of scenes with cheap death and non sense.

I have to agree there; many of the recent deaths were obviously given very little thought and consideration. I didn't know whether to laugh or be pissed at Dale's death, and I didn't particularly care for him in the first place.

I get that it's a zombie apocalypse and anything could potentially happen at anytime and the showrunners seek to convey this, but I certainly hope they don't use that as a crutch to excuse bad writing in the future. At least not this often...

All in all though, S2 had its good points. Sophia's story arc conclusion was absolutely masterful, and Randall's was another good one, albeit intertwined in the mix of the other laughable deaths. The finale was truly brilliant; I tip my hat to the whole crew for this one. I can say earnestly that it did indeed make up for the few stutters and missteps from this season.

Ultimately; however, I'd like to see a return to form for this show. Season 3 needs to recapture the tension and drama that made season 1 so gripping. By far the best season of any sitcom I've ever seen, and that's saying a lot for being only six episodes.

To be fair, they hadn't developed Jimmy or Patricia at all during the season. They were essentially redshirts the whole time. And I doubt with the introduction of more characters in season 3, that Jimmy or Patricia would have more character development anyway.

Bathyj4413d ago

Kratos is right, those characters were just filler anyway.

Plus I like that some of the main characters died abruptly, it drove home that the world is dangerous and anyone could be taken at anytime. The show had been lingering a bit this season on the farm with everyone so safe. It was a nice snap back to reality.
