Anson Mount, the protagonist of the AMC series Hell On Wheels, has signed on to play a nasty villain in the indie racial drama Supremacy. The Deon Taylor-directed drama also stars Danny Glover, Joe Anderson, Derek Luke, Evan Ross, Stacey Dash and Dawn Olivieri.
The drama is based on a true story. A paroled white supremacist has just killed a cop, and takes an African American family hostage over a long night of terror as authorities cordon off the neighborhood where he and his lady accomplice are laying low.
This drama has been hailed by critics as one of the best films of 2019, and even appeared on former US President Barack Obama’s list of his favourite films of the year. The Last Black Man in San Francisco has struck a chord with audiences and captured viewers’ imaginations with its striking visuals and the inspiring behind-the-scenes story of how the film got made.
According to our sources, Lethal Weapon 5 is now in early development with both Mel Gibson and Danny Glover set to return.
The Dead Don’t Die follows the peaceful town of Centerville that finds itself battling a zombie horde as the dead start rising from their graves.
I'm glad to see that he's doing other things but I don't want to see him as a terrible person...that always has an affect on me when I see them in something else....especially if they play a bad person better than when they play the role of a good person.
Very good actor, just the show he is on has slow writing and was marketed entirely wrong. I'm sure it will pick up eventually, but the first season was not what I expected.
However he is talented and I'd love to see him in whatever he decides to do.
He's solid on Hell On Wheels.
