Open Road is closing a deal for U.S. distribution rights to End Of Watch, the David Ayer-directed cop drama that stars Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Pena and Anna Kendrick. I’m told that Open Road will release the film later this year. They’ve committed to a 2,000-screen run, with a minimum guarantee just north of $2 million and a $20 million P&A commitment.

Open Road Films has released the full trailer for Home Again, the modern romantic comedy that stars Reese Witherspoon in a complicated relationship.
Open Road Films has set Nov. 18 as the wide-release launch for boxing biopic “Bleed for This,” starring Miles Teller as boxer Vinny Paz and Aaron Eckhart as his trainer Kevin Rooney.
Deadline: Under the exclusive deal, beginning in 2017, Amazon Prime subscribers will be able to stream select Open Road titles on the distribution company’s 2016 slate, including comedy Fifty Shades Of Black, action-thriller Triple 9, and romantic comedy Mother’s Day. Also available will be action-thriller Sleepless Night, Bleed For This, and the animated family film Blazing Samurai.
Sounds like good business and sounds like he makes a lot of money doing it this way too.
