The latest "contained thriller" coming your way is ATM and Shock Till You Drop has an exclusive look at the film's one-sheet.
Directed by David Brooks and written by Chris Sparling (Buried), the film stars Brian Geraghty, Josh Peck and Alice Eve as three co-workers who make a late-night ATM run. While withdrawing some cash a hooded maniac targets the trio.
ATM hits VOD March 2nd from IFC Midnight and arrives in theaters April 6th.

And this list starts out with My Bloody Valentine 3D... so obviously this is a strong list from someone that knows a lot about scary films.
I'm pretty sure I don't want anything else that Dr. Chris prescribes.
A movie that underachieves at the basic conceptual level; like an awkward psychological torture test that repeatedly demonstrates shaky logic and severe gaps in tension and plausibility.

CO - If a movie is starkly named ATM, you can be it’s not a whimsical comedy about the quirky characters who withdraw money. It is a high concept thriller set in the familiar everyday location. Stockbroker David (Brian Geraghty) and his two office friends (Josh Peck and Alice Eve) stop at an ATM in an isolated parking lot when a killer appears outside trapping them in the freezing bank. We got a chance to talk with director David Brooks by phone in anticipation of ATM’s theatrical release on April 6, after a month on VOD. Some spoilers follow, but none that aren’t already given away in the trailer.
Written by Chris Sparling? I absolutely loved Buried and it was one of my favorite films of 2010. So, I think this could be interesting. Just a shame that he's not re-teaming with Rodrigo Cortes here. But Brooks is an unknown, so he could surprise. In either case, there's a good chance for a great screenplay here. I'll have to check it out.
I think this could be good like JL mentions above, but come on, the trailer is just horrid. At least Buried and all of the other "contained" films feel more plausible. The trailer for this one makes me ask the question of why don't they all rush the guy at the beginning before he gets the upper hand?
