I didn't know they were making a movie together. M.Knight is a little strange but sometimes he makes good movies. They aren't all good though. This is the first I've heard of this one or if I did hear about it...it's been a long time ago because I don't remember.

No need to be nice, its been a very long time since he made anything watchable....lol

Blasted cheapskake M.Knight ruined The LAst Airbender for me!!!1!1!!!!

No need to be nice Soldier: Shyamalan is a hack that lucked up and made one really good movie. And for the laugh of him he doesn't know how he did it, so he keeps making progressively worse monstrosities in an effort to find out what he did right in The Sixth Sense ;)

And seriously, is Will Smith just trying to ruin his career here? Wonder which wins the tug-of-war here: Shyamalan's ability to destroy anything he touches? Or Smith's ability to turn anything he touches into box office gold?

Wow, this could easily be the first Will Smith movie I hate....lets hope it isn't.

Wouldnt be the first M Night Shamalamalam movie I hate though.

will smith must really think this movie has a chance to be good if hes willing (lol) to work with m night shaylalalbasdalanddabadalalala

I don't know. I'm starting to think Will is losing all integrity or something. First he's selling out, pimping his son and buying his son a career. Now this...? Strange really.

Soldierone4457d ago

I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing this. All respect to will smith, he is one of my favorite actors ever, but I think his son needs to work his own way up. I don't mind Will helping him out along the way, but he is pushing him faster than he should be.

Imagine if Will Smith jumped from music directly to big Hollywood movies. He wouldn't have all that experience in between, and most of all wouldn't have the experience of Fresh Prince, which IMO made him what he is today.

I like Will Smith but I haven't liked all his movies. He has chosen a couple of bad ones in his day. This one may be added to the list. Didn't M. Knight do Signs? I liked that one and The Sixth Sense but that's about it.

Soldierone4457d ago

Signs is a great idea, and there were certain aspects he did extremely well with it blending in to society. I just felt that the overall concept was ruined with the end of the movie and going "too big" in some aspects.

I mean he did it again with Devil, good concept, started off doing it great, then midway ruins it entirely. This is what JL is referencing in "he tries to recreate The Sixth Sense" because it has a major twist in it, so he attempts to do this with everything. Except Avatar (The last airbender) that was just all around "WHAT IS THIS CRAP!!!" lol

The Last Airbender was one of the biggest disappointments ever. I couldn't believe how bad it was. I just don't go see his movies at all. I saw the two I liked on dvd after they came out.
