2005 was when everything changed and by "everything" I mean Liam Neeson became a badass. Since his portrayl of the ruthless Henri Ducard in Christopher Nolan's Batman Begins Neeson has being tearing a bloody path across theater screens ever since. His amazingly dark and gritty turn in 2008's Taken solidified his standing as an elder statesmen of action and has continued kicking ass to varying degrees in The A-Team, Unknown, and now The Grey. I never thought of Liam Neeson as some kind of sissy boy actor but I never thought he fit in the traditional role of an action star. Perhaps that's what made his transformation so unexpectedly enjoyable but it makes you wonder what direction Schindler's List could have gone if Oskar Schindler would have been the World War II's greatest badass.
