IGN Reviews The Thing on Blu-ray

IGN - Here's an odd remake. Instead of simply going with a completely new story, director Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.'s The Thing (2011) plays as both a prequel to John Carpenter's original remake and, in some ways, a redo of that same story. In this regard, The Thing is a frustrating film that's fine as a midnight movie, but not really satisfying on any level. (Blu-ray, The Thing (2011)) 7/10

Yes...the one with Kurt Russell...it's great. I really like it too. This new one is suppose to be the prequel to that one so I don't know....I haven't seen it yet so I can't say.

I'm going to Target today and get my movies.
