MovieFone: Oh, boy, are the SAG Awards dull. It's pretty obvious that even the SAG Awards know that they are dull, since they're wise enough to limit the running time to two hours. Though boring, the SAG awards do provide more insight into the Oscar results than any other awards show.
You see, the actors' branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences accounts for 1,183 of the 6000-plus member votes that decide the Oscars, making them overwhelmingly the largest branch of the Academy.
