AV Club: Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie Review

AV Club: Cult weirdoes Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim define their small-screen oeuvre with delirious excess and unrepentant weirdness, but their cult television shows look positively austere compared to their cinematic directorial and starring debut, Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie. The film’s ramshackle plot finds a slicked-up Tim & Eric spending $1 billion on a “film” that doesn’t stand a chance of recouping its budget, especially given its three-minute run time. This naturally enrages the heads of a sinister multinational corporation run by a perpetually apoplectic Robert Loggia.

Tim & Eric's Billion Dollar Movie Blu-ray Review - WGTC

Jeremy of We Got This Covered wrote, "Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim star in Tim & Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie, which is the dumbest film I’ve seen all year. It lacks any real comedy and spends most of its time on the duos weird sense of “humor” that somehow appeals to a large audience. I’m not sure if it’s because I’ve never watched the show or heard of the pairing before this movie, but the movie is a dud and a waste of time. The only time it becomes almost watchable is during the occasional cameo, in which real actors provide real jokes."

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie (2012) - Popzara Review

Engages in a tiresome pattern of dragging out innately humorless verbal gags well beyond the breaking point, like a comedian trying get laughs from an audience that has already left the club.
