IGN - "'Cause every little thing is gonna be all right" sings young 20-something Kayla at a dive bar in Dublin, pretty much melodically summing up FOX's new "social benefit" series, Touch, which stars Kiefer Sutherland as the harried father of a young "mutistic" boy named Jake (David Mazouz). I will freely admit that, from the day the news broke about this series, I thought it would be terrible. I didn't exactly relish having to watch TV writers once again try to clumsily portray child autism-for-the-sake-of plot - a la FlashForward - and I still had serious residual Tim Kring-grief (creator of Heroes). But, after all my pre-judgment, Touch works. Yes, in its over-reaching bats*** way, Touch made for a very powerful emotional journey.
