TMP's Best and Worst Movies of 2011

From TMP:

With a bevy of potential blockbusters coming up in 2012, we here at TMP wanted to take a moment to look back at the many movies released in 2011. There were several movies released this year that we didn’t see eye-to-eye on, so it was nigh impossible to come up with an overall ‘Best of’ list for TMP that all of us could agree upon. So instead of trying, we’ve decided to break down our best (and worst) individually for you guys.

Okay....I can see and even agree with most of these choices here. The only one I totally and unreversably disagree with is Dylan on the worst being Pirates. That was one of the best and it would have even been better without Penelope Cruz in it but it still held it's own. There were so many others that were really bad.

I probably agree that it wasn't the worst of the whole year...but I hated that film. I thought it was terrible, and didn't do any favors to the franchise. It had characters and plot lines that just disappeared with no explanation and a story that just seemed...meh in comparison.

April's selections for best & worst films of the year are kinda baffling! She includes Rango, Super 8 & Thor in her dishonorable mentions!?! Whilst she rates The Rite, Horrible Bosses, Transformers 3 & Battle: LA up there as the best!

Warrior was awesome...wasn't it. I was so glad I went to see it...I wasn't sure if I was going to like it and I decided to go and it turned out to be one of the best movies of last year. Every actor deserves recognition in that film...

I think Warrior was grossly overlooked. Me and some others were actually talking about that earlier today. Great movie but it went largely unnoticed. Not sure I'd call it my favorite of the year, though. But definitely great. Hardy and Edgerton did great, as did Nolte.

As for worst movie: I can say Nicolas Cage had some really horrible ones this year. I like the guy, but his choices this year were horrible. Season of the Witch, Drive Angry and Trespass were all really bad. Also, The Ward was pretty bad and I can only imagine how horrible Human Centipede 2 was considering how godawful the first was. I can just imagine how bad Jack & Jill was too. I won't even consider watching either of those last two there.
